No, only cash. But there's an ATM right inside front door
Good food and service is great.
Decent diner food, nice atmosphere. Service is generally good but once in a while slightly below average.
Decent food, menu could use some more variety/ new exciting options
Good food and good diner choices. Only reason they didn't get 5 stars is they over cooked my eggs. Over medium instead of the over easy I ordered. Also had to pay for each cup of coffee. Not a biggie but not the norm at a diner.
Diner that serves all your generic American breakfast needs at a reasonable (maybe even a little low!) price. Waitstaff was lovely and food came out pretty quick. Good place for a brunch with friends after a night that might've gone a little too long 😉
Home fries were very soggy. Great service a bit of a wait for breakfast. Breakfast food is mediocre good. Big portion.
Food was ok , waitress was amazing , the management there was horrible
A quaint diner, in continuous operation since 1946. Friendly people and good food. Worth a visit when you are in town.
A scranton diner with options. Food is always delicious!
Servers are nice. Food is rather good for a diner. Place does need a facelift and good scrubbing.
My wife and I went to eat at chicks dinner last night. It wasn't busy, we sat down, ordered our food and got it fairly quickly. The food was great as always. Now here is where the 2 star rating comes in. The entire time we were there two guys were standing at the front grill talking very loudly. They were speaking Spanish. Maybe they thought nobody could understand what they were saying but unfortunately that was not the case as my wife understood everything they were saying. They were talking very poorly about the employees that were working last night including the staff in the back and the waitress up front. A lot of curse words were used and the staff was called some disgusting names by the two men. It was unprofessional to say the least.
Quick-service fast good prices
It's a great diner with decent prices for the amount of food you get. I've been a few times now and I'm never disappointed. I just wish their breakfast menu was available at all times and that there were more vegetarian meals on the menu.
Excellent food. The quintessential waitress that was a little saucy... The ultimate diner
This is the place you go when you want breakfast and no fuss. They already know what you want.
I've loved this place since I was a teenager, current staff is awesome, super accommodating, very fast helpful and ALWAYS kind. Food is always on point and also comes out quickly nice & perfect. This is a great place for a good quality quick bite to eat & friendly atmosphere ❤️
Service was wonderful like always and food was hot and delicious. They have an arrangement of many items to eat hot and cold and you could also order breakfast all day. My two sons and I ordered chicken tenders meal and open faced Turkey 😋
The diner was clean and retro looking, and the service was fast and friendly. However, the waitress did forget parts of my order. The food was great and easily made up for it, though. Recommended for a quick casual bite anytime of the day.
Really cool, old school diner. Open 24/7 for over 60 years. Food is decent and cheap.
Ya gotta stop at Chicks Diner for the best breakfast food, lunch specials and all different homemade dinners!! The best in my opinion!!! And of course open all night so stop in for their famous "Open Faced Roast Beef with with mashed potatoes and veggie and the most delicious is crispy fries with the best gravy ever I MEAN EVERRRR" ENJOY!!! 😆
Small. Cramped. Slow service. Mediocre food. Typical greasy spoon.
Chick's Diner is a classic diner that opened in 1946. Today's visit was nostalgic for me. My family often took us there when I was a child. They have wonderful homemade pies, my favorite was always Graham Cracker Cream Pie. Great place for Breakfast and Lunch. Food is good, prices reasonable. Worth a visit.
good food. good service. cheap prices.
Food was good. Waitress... not so much.
We just LOVE Chick's! 💕 Go more than a couple two-three times and you'll be treated like family. Almost everything is good; more than a few things are great. Our favorite are the pancakes, which are vanilla-flavored and taste fantastic, even without syrup or butter. Try some of the weekly lunch specials, incl. stuffed cabbage, chicken croquets, and our favorite side, stewed tomatoes. The coffee is mediocre.
Funky diner with amazing food. We ate here twice over the weekend we were visiting because we liked it so much.
Since 1946! Our go to place for breakfast and lunch! Ham steak was half an inch thick and served with a generous portion of hash browns. Very personable wait staff and apparently a favorite of quite a diverse group of locals. Unpretentious home style eatery with a short order cook working the grill right across the counter seating. Booth seating available as well.
The chocolate cream pie was good, the blueberry crumb, not so much. The eggs over easy were cooked very well, but they were under seasoned, and the home fries had no coloring or nice crust.
Great food and staff. Used to love to go there when I was younger after going out with friends. Still go often and everything is always is great.
Great place to grab a bite before heading off to the Scranton sign.
Old fashion diner experience - the entire menu reads like a list of classic comfort foods.
Good food but don't accept credit cards.
Love to eat at Chick 's
If Chicks made slight updates externally and internally the place would be even more of staple. Minor changes to the parking lot and new neon signs would be nice. New booths and updated floors could make a huge difference. The food is consistent and I love the omelets.
Average at best. Greasy spoon diner. Breakfast was meh.
Uffff... Excellent Service... Best Coffee and NY Steak in the Area...
Amazing food especially their hotcakes and Greek potato cakes! Really nice servers. The place is a retro piece of Americana. It was fun eating there.
Run by Chicks (women), it is a nice and cosy place with friendly folks around ...we took an exit off I81 and randomly walked in....the food could be a little less dry.
Simple, cheap, but nothing special about it.
Good coffee the. Best open fast roast beef
Typical hometown diner a lot of regulars. We were not greeted when we came in the door, there was a small wait to be given menus, server was seasoned and typical for this type of place. Good was good with good portions, prices good. Will go back.
Food and staff were both great.
Waitress was polite and friendly. Cook refused to make the sauce for my jalapeno poppers properly, even tho i'm sure he had the ingredients to do so. I was a bit shocked because i usually receive great food there.
Excellent old style diner. Had pancakes, eggs, kielbasa with coffee good solid breakfast food. Waitress was busy but on point with refills & knew everyone by name. Hope to visit here again soon.
California burger was smaller than I expected. Overall the place is ok. Friendly waitressess.
this is an unpretentious place. i usually have breakfast at diners but i was having a taste for Thanksgiving in February. luckily they had Turkey with stuffing and mash potatoes and gravy. it was very good. i actually ate the whole thing (with a diet Coke). thanks guys.
Good price, delicious, big sizeAnd 24 hours OPEN.There is nothing else to say.
Awesome burger miss the jukeboxes at the tables though.
Cool real diner. 300 thousand lbs of bananas is a song that memorialized a tragic truck accident. The driver lost his breaks going into Scranton pa on the hill which where the diner sits to this day. Good pretty nice too. Find the song on u tube.
Always great food! Open late! Great place to go after a late shift! Love this place!
